“We should go to Obregon(1) in June to record some tunes, we may even play there” said El Camaleón(2) a good day in March, 2006 in my FunHouse(3), we didn’t take long to answer a “YES” and back his idea. Very good idea by the way.

Being sure that we would go to Obregon we contacted Pedro Punk ex-Verdez Paranoya(4) and he proposed a gig for June 25th in Baby C, a bar from over there… ¡perfect!... The gig was set and we finalized the appointment to go into Mariko Studio with “El Chuky”(5) for Friday June 23rd. There on we dedicated to wait day after day and party night after night, and like this time passed lightly for everyone, and it was like this that we made our wait a happy and nice one.

And before I start talking about the recording sessions, I’ve decided to wait a little and tell you something brief about the city which we where going to:

Obregon City (Ciudad Obregón), is a place where is hot as fuck 24 hours a day. Sweat is with you all day long and night too. Where it’s always a good day to drink and party big, someone’s birthday at Mirvalle (Obregon city Neighborhood), someone else is just getting here from I don’t know where, and rehearsal/party at brujo's,(6)I don't whose cousin is getting maried and everybody is going, party at “Kañañas”(7) ¡but look out ‘cause they’ll throw us out early!... etc, etc… and events like this circulate all the time. Party, staying up late, being hangover, “cahuamanta”(31). That’s how it goes if you hit the streets, and being that the city is small you end up meeting everybody. The street is always been a good place to learn that wich they don’t teach in home or in school. In this little big city El camaleon and I(8) grew up, each by its own of course.

There the underground scene has always existed, since many years ago, many very good bands with different styles have come out. The problem is that sometimes it can be months without a well organized event, and we owe that to the city government, ‘cause they almost never give out permits to these events, and when they do, they send a thousand cops to stand outside the event and wait for the smallest pretext to take people in and suspend the show. Politicians. What can you expect from them?

Well, I told you a bit about the city, now back to the moment we left Tijuana towards that hot land. It was around 9 pm Thursday June 22nd when our bus left for Sonora. Desperate to get there, 16 hours on the road awaited, and that’s some kind of immense bore. It didn’t take long to get comfortable and give way to sleep. It was Camaleon, Carlos(9), Pila(10), Ines(11) and me.

While on the road I started to think what it meant to me going back home and being able to play there. It had been about a year since our last presentation at “Bar El Conde” (Bar The Count), but in that occasion we were only two, drums and guitar, that time was a disaster I remember, but I had fun. Now in this occasion the whole band was going, with all its members, ready to make some noise. I felt an enormous responsibility and a great satisfaction of the decision of all of us going to Obregon, which I thank to all Los Adixión. It’s something pretty cool going back to your city and play after two years of not living there, see you friends and the people from there, being part of that scene that still stands, it is gratifying that it doesn’t stop, that it resists.

We arrived at 1 in the afternoon and getting of the bus I remembered right away one of the main reasons I left Obregon: the unbearable heat. You could drop and cry in the middle of the street. With our bellies full of Birria(32) Tacos we went to drop of our luggage to Hamster’s(12) or Corucko’s (better well known by this nickname over there) grandmothers house, then directly to the recording studio, there waited the diabolical Chuky with the AC on and the drums ready ¡It’s real! ¡praised be Chuky!

Friday the drums recorded the 9 tunes in 2 hours, the bass in an hour and a half (you surprised rockergirl!). Before leaving the studio there he was our beloved friend Perro (Dog), waiting for us like a good friend. We left for his workshop and the party was on, then arrives Hermes(14), Pepe(15), Iron(16), Juanito(17), Alan Neutral(18), Pain(19) and more and more people that I didn’t know. Then, made a few clicks and I had some good pictures.

< Here they only have had 8 cans each

Here almost 9 >
< So lovely they are
Party went on an Hermes was happy>

4 a.m came and it's time for bed.
...... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz..... zzzz .z.z.z....z ..z

Saturday sassion was 10 hours , 5 for guitarr and the rest for voices. was a hard day, but worth it.

The mind flew
Possessed by nerves
Him fine
¡Lets yell then!

At night we went to Hermes to celebrate Camaleon’s birthday that was coming next day (June 25th), and once more the party had begun, right there appeared Güero Tijuana(20), with a smile that reminded me of The Joker from Batman, this paled and skinny guy such a rocker and good buddy (a shout out wherever your at fuck-o). Cups filled, bottles broke, lungs filled with smoke, pupils dilated, noses blowing so hard and so deep as well as they know… uhf!!!

12:00 a.m.
One more. Congratulations.
Body piercer and Pepe feeling sleepy
The party lasted and lasted, some were still coming and us leaving. 4a.m. Bedtime for us.

Sunday in the studio was another 10 hours. Correct a few details and the mix.

Like Punk Sindrome(21) said "today is the day, spike your hair and get to the gig, suicide punk, suicide punk!". From the studio we came out arround 9 pm. From there we went sraight to Baby C, wich is 2 blocks from there.
We entered an everything was right on: friends, sound, lights, people, beer at a good price. Around were Judas(22), Heracleo(15), Lucas(23), Kuñasish(15), Russo(24). Perro you didn’t  go fucker, why party so many days eh?
Show started quick, first played "Kargo de Conciencia"(25), very cool rockabillies.
Then Chivo Berrinche(26) pure instrumental, no voice, very recommendable.
Followed Mentes Enfermas(27), a HC-punk, with hard and rough sound, good tunes.
Then Neutral(28), commanded by their bassist-vocalist, left loose a dose of punk rock including “Drogadicto” (Drug Addict) and “Violencia Intrafamiliar” (Domestic Violence).
And last us, from Tijuana, before we where from there, now from here, we are from both now. We got set on stage, with the gear ready and tuned, the four of us  ready, said a “good evening”, presented ourselves and started to liberate all those decibels we had stored in our instruments. Started of with “Pipipi”.
Then tune after tune went out… scream after scream…There wasn’t anything else in the world. Our sole existence was that.
I remember that in first row was Thrasher(29), Flaco(30) and Güero Tijuana
Even sang
Forty minutes of chaos. End of our set. Closed with “El Planeta del Sonido”, making our mandatory improv with its respective time. ¡Some noise we made!...
Thanks see you later, claps… and to disconnect, ‘cause then stuff gets lost.

And before I forget a loud boo for Katxoro(15), and Bony(15) and for Kañañas they didn’t go to the gig 'cause they suck. Boo again.

Thanks Pedro Punk for the gig, you outdid yourself. Right after we went to Villa Itson (another Obregon City neighborhood) to I don’t know whose house to keep partying. To hot for 4 a.m. Hot Beer. This is not the place. Let’s go to sleep.

Monday we got to the studio, mixing was done, waited for the Master and straight to the bus depot. Goodbye my dear city, I hope to see you ‘till December. I hope is cold. We returned well and happy to Tijuana Tuesday the 27th.

The End. This chronicle has ended.

But the story goes on, and we'll keep writing.
